Calgary, 14 December 2023 – The Philippine Consulate General (PCG) in Calgary held its last consular outreach mission for 2023 in Grande Prairie, Alberta, from 12 to 14 December 2023.
A total 125 consular services, ranging from passport, legalization, notarials, and civil registration services, were rendered during the two-and-a-half days of consular outreach for the Filipino community in the Grande Prairie and Peace River Country region.
Fifty (50) applicants also took their oath to reacquire their Philippine citizenship. Another 25 Filipinos registered as overseas voters.

The PCG also invited the Grande Prairie Centre for Newcomers (GPCN) to join the consular outreach. The GPCN was able to share with 43 consular clients information about its programs and services for the Filipino community.

MLA Nolan Dyck of Grande Prairie, who visited the consular outreach, thanked the PCG for the invaluable services it provided to the Filipino community in Grande Prairie and the surrounding region.
According to Statistics Canada 2021 Census, Grande Prairie is home to 4,370 Filipinos.
