Calgary, 12 May 2023 - The Philippine Consulate General (PCG) in Calgary has started promoting Philippine coffee in Alberta and Saskatchewan in the hope of creating a bigger export market for this product. 

 

During the recently held 2nd Filipino Restaurant Month in Canada (FRMC) in April 2023, the PCG gave free packs of coffee made by Philippine company Curve Coffee Collaborators (CCC) to 15 FRMC participating restaurants in Alberta and Saskatchewan.

 

The Philippine-made Curve coffee was served for free, while supplies lasted, to customers ordering the FRMC dishes during the month-long event.

 Curve coffee comes from places like Benguet, Bukidnon, Davao Del Sur, and Mountain Province in the Philippines. Through coffee production, CCC supports the Filipino coffee growers in these Philippine provinces. More information about the Curve coffee can be found from https://curve.coffee/.

 

“Aside from promoting Filipino cuisine during the 2nd FRMC, we were also able to introduce Philippine coffee to the public  with the support of Curve Coffee Collaborators and the participating Filipino restaurants in the hope that we can eventually export more Philippine coffee products to Canada,” said Philippine Consul General to Calgary Zaldy Patron.
