Chef Marlon Cabsaban prepares his interpretation of pancit habhab during the Fiesta Filipinas – Pahiyas Festival virtual cooking demonstration segment.
Calgary, 14 April 2022 – As part of the Philippine Consulate General (PCG) in Calgary’s participation in the Fiesta Filipinas – Pahiyas Festival’s online cooking demonstration of the Department of Foreign Affairs, Chef Marlon Cabsaban of Streetside Grill and Café, took part in the online cooking demonstration of pancit habhab, a popular stir-fry noodle dish which originated from Lucban, Quezon, and is commonly served during the town’s famous Pahiyas Festival.
The DFA held the online cooking demonstration on 2 April 2022 which attracted participants from different countries around the world.
Chef Cabsaban did his own presentation of the pancit habhab.
Streetside Grill and Café, where Chef Cabsaban works, is one of the 40 participating restaurants in the first-ever Filipino Restaurant Month in Canada (FRMC), which runs for the whole month of April 2022. His participation in the online cooking demonstration has enhanced his repertoire of Filipino dishes. END
