Calgary, 22 September 2022 – Philippine Consul General Zaldy Patron is now the new Dean of the Calgary Consular Corps (CCC).

Consul General Patron assumed the position during the CCC’s Annual General Assembly held on 15 September 2022 at the Calgary Golf & Country Club. He became the Dean of the CCC for being the longest serving Consul General in Calgary.

As of September 2022, the CCC is composed of eight permanent missions, three honorary consuls general, and 31 honorary consuls. It also counts as its members 25 former honorary consuls. It has two honorary members in the person of former Prime Minister Stephen Harper and former Senator Daniel Hays.

As the new Dean, Consul General Patron will be one of the two spokespersons of the CCC; the other one being the Chair of the CCC Executive Committee, a position currently held by Honorary Consul of Finland Judith Romanchuk. END.
