The Philippine Consulate General in Calgary manifested
its support for the celebration of the 2018
Asian Heritage Month in Calgary as Consul General Gilberto Asuque and
Deputy Consul General Zaldy Patron attended the kick-off event on 4 May 2018.
The event, organized by the Asian Heritage Foundation and
held in Calgary’s Chinatown, highlighted the long and rich history of Asian
Canadians and their contributions to the growth and prosperity of Canada.
A group of panelists, led by the guest of honor Senator Yuen Pau Woo of British Colombia, shared their views on diversity and the system changes that are needed to continuously address multiculturalism and inclusion in Canada.
