Calgary, 4 August 2023 – A
seven-man team from the Philippine Consulate General (PCG) in Calgary, headed
by Consul General Zaldy Patron, rendered a total of 726 consular services
during a Consular and ATN Outreach Mission in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, on 1 to
4 August 2023.
The outreach mission was the PCG’s
first in 2023.
Out of the total number of services, 425 applicants were able to submit their applications for passports, civil registration, legalization of documents, and retention and reacquisition of Philippine citizenship.
In addition, 55 applicants took their oath of Philippine citizenship while 84 Filipinos registered as overseas voters and 162 members of Social Security System (SSS) availed themselves of the services of the SSS Calgary.
In its desire to promote the welfare of the Filipinos in Saskatchewan, the PCG invited the Battlefords Immigration Resources Centre (BIRC), a not-for-profit organization, to share information on the social services it extends to the members of the Filipino community.
BIRC supports migrant workers and temporary
foreign workers (TFWs). Eligible Filipinos in Saskatchewan can obtain the
following services from BIRC:

and income support referrals;
●
