Philippine Department of Foreign Affairs and the Department of Tourism, is an
immersion tour for second-generation Filipinos and young foreign-born Filipinos
and is designed to promote a deeper appreciation of Filipino heritage and a
spirit of giving back to the motherland. The tour aims to open the
participants’ mindset by providing a first-hand experience of a Filipino
growing up or living in the Philippines. The tour hopes that the participants’
exposure to host communities and Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) and
their experience in helping out in their livelihood will create an awareness of
the issues their kababayans are
facing that will lead to initiatives with a positive impact on the host
communities in the Philippines.
