16 December 2020, Calgary – Following the partnership they forged on 30 October 2020, the Philippine Consulate General (PCG) in Calgary and the Calgary Catholic Immigrant Society (CCIS) jointly held a webinar about the PCG’s consular services.
During the
webinar held on 14 December 2020, Consul General Zaldy Patron explained in
details to the Filipino
temporary foreign worker (TFW) clients of CCIS, the
biggest non-profit organization in Southern Alberta, the various consular
services of the PCG.
One of the CCIS’ programs is the
Community Support Services (CSS), previously known as the TFW Program, which
counts the Filipino TFWs as among its major beneficiaries.
Consul General Patron discussed the
features of the PCG’s new passport online appointment system, which the PCG
began using for passport bookings from 23 November 2020 onward. He also
explained the PCG’s other consular services, such as the retention and
re-acquisition of Philippine citizenship, civil registration, notarials and
legalization of documents, and NBI verification.
