Calgary, 10 May 2024 – The Philippine Consulate General in Calgary held its very first consular outreach mission for 2024 by holding a three-day mission to Edmonton, Alberta last 7 to 9 May 2024.
A total 660 consular services, ranging from passport, notarials, overseas voter registration, RA9225 and civil registration services, were rendered for the Filipino community living in the Edmonton area and northern Alberta region in general.
The PCG also invited the Multicultural Health Brokers Collective, Action for Healthy Communities, Filipino Canadian Saranay Association of Alberta, and the Catholic Social Services to join the consular outreach so it could share information on its programs and services with our consular clients. The Social Security System - Calgary office also joined the consular mission.

The Philippine Consulate General also took the opportunity to brief the Filipino Community on the Bagong Pilipinas movement and encouraged them to do their share in nation-building, even while they are living in Canada.
According to Statistics Canada 2021 Census, Edmonton is home to 80,760 Filipinos, the second largest concentration of Filipinos in Alberta.
