26 April 2020, Calgary – The Philippine Consulate General (PCG) in Calgary welcomes the Provincial Government of Saskatchewan’s announcement of the Re-Open Saskatchewan Plan.
The Re-Open Saskatchewan Plan aims to
slowly lift restrictions in the province to enable more businesses to reopen
and more employees to go back to work. The Plan will begin on 4 May 2020. It contains details of the physical
distancing measures and restrictions that will remain in place throughout its
five phases. It also sets several indicators to be used in making informed
decisions on the lifting of long-term restrictions.
The Plan, announced by Saskatchewan Premier Scott Moe and Chief
Medical Health Officer Dr. Saqib Shahab on 23 April 2020, may be downloaded

Consul General Zaldy Patron said that the gradual re-opening of Saskatchewan’s economy will benefit the estimated 34,000 Filipinos in Saskatchewan. He thanked the Filipino community in Saskatchewan for contributing to the containment of COVID-19 pandemic in the province and urged them to fully cooperate with local authorities in the implementation of the Re-Open Saskatchewan Plan.
