Proclamation of Philippine Independence with a flag-raising ceremony on 10 June
2017 at the rooftop patio of the Consulate’s building followed by the soft

Alberta and Saskatchewan as shown by the opening of the SSS-FRO in
Calgary. He also called on Filipinos in
Alberta and Saskatchewan to always bear in mind the sacrifices of our heroes
that brought freedom to the Philippines and allowed Filipinos to explore
opportunities to better themselves and their families, whether at home or
abroad.
The formal program culminated with the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement between Post and the SSS on the opening of the SSS-FRO in Calgary and a Filipino brunch.
