23 March 2023, Calgary – The Philippine Consulate General (PCG) in Calgary featured the services of the Pag-Ibig Fund during its webinar on 17 March 2021 entitled “Kumusta Na Ang Pag-Ibig Mo?”
During the webinar, which was streamed on the PCG’s Facebook page, Pag-Ibig Fund-Toronto Representative Elizabeth Borres discussed her agency’s membership, programs and services. She encouraged the viewers to use the virtual Pag-Ibig platform to access their savings and loan records. The viewers were also informed of the advantages of putting funds in the Pag-Ibig Regular Savings and the higher interest-earning MP2 Savings. Likewise, Ms. Borres explained how members could apply for the Pag-Ibig Fund’s shorter loans and housing loans.
It was the second time that the PCG hosted a webinar on the Pag-Ibig Fund following the initial one on 16 December 2020 where it featured both the services of the Pag-Ibig Fund and the Social Security System (SSS).
“The PCG is pleased to inform the Filipinos in Alberta and Saskatchewan about the services of the Pag-Ibig Fund,” Consul General Zaldy Patron said about the webinar. He noted that many of the estimated 210,000 Filipinos in the two Canadian provinces were Pag-Ibig Fund members before they came to Canada and they would like to know how they could continue their Pag-Ibig Fund membership.
Interested Pag-ibig Fund members can still view the webinar from the PCG’s Facebook page.
